W. James Chandler
Jim Chandler began the practice of law in Charlotte in 1969 with concentration in areas of serious personal injury, wrongful death, professional malpractice and products liability. Jim Chandler is an avid whitewater paddler and has been a sponsor of the United States Olympic Canoe and Kayak Team during the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games. He has been actively involved in the creation of the United States National White Water Center in Charlotte and his interests also include golf, tennis, skiing and photography. Jim Chandler is a member of the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the North Carolina Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the American Judicature Society, Trial Lawyers for Public Justice and is a founding member of the Mecklenburg Trial Lawyers Association, serving as President of that organization in 2002. He is a past member of the Board of Governors of the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers and is licensed to practice in all federal courts and before the Supreme Court of the United States. Jim is married to Cathinka Chandler, a native of The Netherlands and they reside on Queens Road in Charlotte. |
